REUNION

WHILE  AT OUR NEW HOME WE HAD A LITTLE FAMILY REUNION WITH MY TWO BROTHERS AND THEIR WIVES.  ALSO FINALLY GOT THE TWO YOUNG PEOPLE TOGETHER WHO ARE COUSINS.  HAD A GRET TIME CATCHING UP ON FAMILY NEWS AND HAD A COUPLE OF PIZZAS AND SOME POP.  EASY ENTERTAINING WITH FAMILY.  MORE INPORTANT TO JUST BE TOGETHER FOR  A COUPLE OF HOURS.  MY BROTHER AND I HAVE HAD SUCH A HARD TIME GETTING TOGETHR IN ONE SPOT THAT IN THE PAST 40 YEARS  WE HAVE ONLY DONE THIS  TWICE.  THAT  IS HOW IT IS WHEN YOU MOVE SO FAR FROM EACH OTHER BUT WE MADE UP FOR LOST TIME.  BELIEVE IT OR NOT  WHILE TOGETHER IT SEEMED LIKE WE NEVER WERE APART.  WE HAVE KEPT UP SO WELL WITH LETTERS AND PICTURES WHICK IS VERY IMPORTANT WITH  DISTANT FAMILY.  WE WILL BE DOING THIS MORE OFTEN NOW THAT I HAVE MOVED CLOSER FOR THE WINTER MONTHS.

FALL IS COMING TO FAST

TAKING OUR  TRIP TO THE STORES TO DO OUR  WEEKLY SHOPPING  I HAVE SEEN TO MANY TREES CHANGING COLORS ALREADY.   I SIT HERE WITH A SWEATSHIRT  JACKET ON OVER A WARM SHIRT AND THINK IT WON'T BE LONG  UNTIL  THE  LEAVES BEGIN TO FALL.  IT IS SUCH A PRETTY TIME OF YEAR AROUND HERE WITH ALL OUR TREES BUT YET SAD TO SEE THEM GO.  I LOVE THE GREEN AND WARMTH OF THE  SUMMER SUN.   TIME MOVES ON TO MAKE ROON FOR A NEW SEASON.  ALL IN GOD'S PLAN.  WILL TRY TO ENJOY  ALL THAT NATURE  FREELY GIVES US TO DELIGHT THE EYES AND EARS OF THOSE  WHO WILL SEE AND LISTEN.  GOD IS GOOD.

Big Mall

We spent one of our days at the  Governors Mall in Tallahassee  which thrilled our grandaughter.  It has two levels.  One  on ground level and the other is underground.  She did not stop smiling the whole time we were there.  The girl loves to shop!  Caught her with  this cute  look in a cowboy hat.  Could not resist taking her picture.  She also had to have a shot of the two layered mall with its water  pond  down stairs and the palm trees in the backround.

A Storm shelter

My little  Lhaso  found herself a little hideout for when the big  thunder storms come in the new digs.  She has claimed the  one  cupboard that has no doors on it  as yet.   First crack of thunder and  in she goes.

Winter haven

Well I think it's time to put a picture of the  winter house on this blog.  Some of the family and friends would like to see  what  we  have been so excited about.  Also thought you might like to see the lovely tree blossom that  my grandaughter  captured on film while she was down there with us from a tree in our backyard.  These trees are  quite tall and covered with blossoms.  I think we have maybe  three of these beauties  growing to a height of about 20 feet tall.

BACK TO HOME BASE AGAIN

THE SUN IS SHINING HERE BUT STILL NOT AS  WARM AS AT OUR NEW HOME IN FLA.  WE HAVE BEEN DOWN THERE WORKING TO GET READY TO MOVE  IN SOMETIME  IN OCT.  WE TOOK THE WHOLE MONTH OF JULY TO CLEAN AND  CHANGE A FEW THINGS  TO OUR LIKING AS WELL AS SHOP FOR KITCHEN APPLIANCES AND NEW LIVINGROOM FURNITURE.  FORGOT HOW MUCH WORK IT IS TO MOVE.  I NEVER MOVED SO FAR FROM HOME BASE BEFORE AND THERE IS SO MUCH TO DECIDE ON BE IT ONE HOUSE OR THE OTHER.

ANYWAY IT HAS BEEN FUN.  IT'S LIKE STARTING ALL OVER AFTER OVER 40 YEARS IN ONE SPOT.  BROTHER AND SISTER -IN -LAW HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL  AS THEY LIVE ONLY 2-3 MILES FROM OUR NEW PLACE AND THEY ARE KEEPING THEIR EYE ON THINGS THERE WHILE WE RETURN  BACK TO THE NORTH AND MAKE MORE PLANS.  THEY ARE SO EXCITED TO HAVE FAMILY MOVING SO CLOSE BY THEM.MET SOME OF THE KIDS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHO FILLED US IN ON ALL THE  IMPORTANT  THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE AREA LIKE THE WILD LIFE.  DEER,ARMIDILLOS, ALLIGATORS, SNAKES ,ETC.  AS WELL AS HUGE BUGS THEY  SING ALL NIGHT IN THE WATERS CLOSE BY SO LOUD YOU CAN HARDLY TALK TO SOMEONE WHILE SITTING ON THE BACK PORCH.  I'M SURE THIS IS GOING TO BE AN EXCITING WINTER FOR THE FIRST  TIME IN QUITE A  FEW YEARS BUT AT LEAST I WON'T BE SHOVELING SNOW FOR SURE.

GOING TO TRY TO PUT A PICTURE OF ONE OF THE BUGS THAT DECIDE TO PEEK IN OUR WINDOW ONE DAY.  THINK IT IS CALLED A STICK BUG.  IT WAS AT LEAST 7 IN. LONG.  ALSO HAD AND ARMIDILLO IN OUR FRONT YARD ONE MORNING.  SO EXCITING!  TO US ANYWAY.
